The objective of the I-Maths program is to create strong fundamental skills in children such as observation, reasoning, analysis, etc. thereby, making thinking a natural extension of the learning process and freeing children from mindless rote learning.

Trilateral Method

The conventional approach uses the linear form of teaching.

Example: 1 + 1= ?
The reversible method adds a higher degree of challenge by taking the child from question to answer and from answer back to the question.

Example: 1 + ?= 2
The I-Maths method affords the highest degree of challenge in the form of thought provoking learning modules.

I-Maths is a revolutionary program which aims to imbibe lateral thinking abilities in young children. The program caters to children in the age group of 4 years to 7 years. The program is based on the learning pattern in growing children. I-Maths focuses on developing and strengthening basic skills like observation, lateral-thinking, reasoning, objective analysis etc. These skills form the foundations for learning and understanding complex mathematical concepts.

Once these skill sets are strengthened, the understanding of mathematics is more on logic and reasoning than on rote methodology making mathematics not only interesting but also fun. Any form of learning which works towards making learning fun and enjoyable, would work towards eliminating the dreaded “math phobia†rampant in today’s young learners.

iMaths Teaching

Concepts are presented in the form of activities or stories, using the many manipulatives that are part of the learning kit, which help anchor the concept in the child's intellect.
The concepts which were presented in the three dimensional form are presented in the two dimensional form by way of wall charts and magnetic stickers.
The final phase of learning, is when the child works on the concepts in specially designed work books thereby completing the learning cycle of "Learning by Doing" to "Learning by Thinking"
